ABOUT SPEARITWURX:
Spearitwurx is a comprehensive organization that creates “experiences to transform lives”. We inspire intergenerational wellness and racial healing and work to shift policies and practices, as well as attitudes and perceptions, which transform internalized, interpersonal, and institutional racism and trauma. We use culture to inspire hope, vibrancy, and empathy, and build our collective agency to create meaningful relationships that sustain communities. We promote, curate, and facilitate engaging in-person and virtual cultural events, transformative coaching, innovative consulting, as well as experiential workshops and retreats for families, schools, organizations, businesses, and government agencies.
OVERVIEW
Restorative Justice and Practices have become central to youth development. However, there are many models of how to engage in a restorative process. Spearitwurx approaches this work with a simple framework that is grounded in Healing Centered Engagement to inspire transformation and community wellness. We focus not just on understanding the vocabulary of restorative practice but create a safe space to explore personal stories and values so that we begin to embody restorative practice from an authentic place.
The following outlines the structure and schedule of the Restorative Practice TA Offering for DCYF grantees:

Participants will then begin to co-create and design their own approach to restorative practices.
